Rapid Access Clinic (RAC)

The Rapid Access Clinic (RAC) provides adult acute care to patients referred from General Practitioners, Wagga Wagga Base Hospital (WWBH) Emergency Department and more recently from NSW-Ambulance Service. In June the RAC saw 467 patients and this number continues to grow.

We continue to encouraging MLHD Clinicians to use the RAC as a point of escalation for patients with mild to moderate COPD and CHF exacerbations, especially during the winter months.

  • MLHD clinicians can refer via the internal referral form.

  • External clinicians may use business/practice letterhead to refer including details as per RAC flyer.

As of the 3rd July the RAC hours of operation will change to Monday – Friday 8am-7pm and Saturday – Sunday 8am-4.30pm.
